Malaysia's esports industry is at an exciting stage of growth. With a large and increasingly mature gaming community, coupled with the achievements of local teams on the international stage, interest in esports betting among Malaysian players continues to grow year on year. And this is where hijau88 plays a vital role – as a platform that truly understands the needs of local gamers and e-sports fans.
Unlike traditional betting platforms that may list a handful of e-sports titles as an afterthought, hijau88 is fully invested in its e-sports section with comprehensive coverage. From domestic leagues like MPL MY (Mobile Legends Professional League Malaysia) to global tournaments such as The International, ESL Pro League, and VCT Champions – every major match has its place on hijau88.
No esports title is closer to Malaysian hearts than Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. Since MPL MY kicked off, local teams like Team Flash, RSG MY, and Geek Fam have proven that Malaysian players can compete at the highest level. The M-Series Championships — regularly held across Southeast Asia — always draw massive support from local fans.
Hijau88 offers highly detailed markets for every MLBB match. Beyond picking the winner, you can bet on the first map winner, the total number of dragons taken in a game, whether the series ends in 2 games or goes to a third, and much more. This makes watching each match far more exciting, as every moment in the game carries its own betting value.
While DOTA 2 may not be as widely played as MLBB among Malaysian mobile gamers, the local DOTA 2 community is deeply dedicated and highly knowledgeable. The International — Valve's annual championship — offers the largest prize pool in esports history and attracts the best teams from around the world. hijau88 provides full markets for The International as well as regional leagues like the DPC (Dota Pro Circuit), which runs throughout the year.
For players who want to bet on esports more strategically, DOTA 2 offers plenty of room for analysis. Hero compositions, early-game strategies, team records on specific maps – all of these can be used to make smarter betting decisions. And hijau88 provides statistics and match records to support you throughout this process.
In the FPS esports scene, Counter-Strike 2 and Valorant have become the two most talked-about titles. CS2, with its long history and massive global community, continues to offer a highly active betting market — especially during Major Championships and ESL Pro League. Valorant, newer to the scene but growing rapidly across Southeast Asia, is drawing in a younger generation of Malaysian gamers.
Both games are fully available on hijau88, with markets covering match winners, round handicaps, specific map winners, and live betting while the match is in progress. For players watching matches live, hijau88's live betting feature lets you bet based on the in-game momentum you're seeing with your own eyes – a major advantage over pre-match betting.
One thing Malaysian esports bettors truly appreciate about hijau88 is the convenience of deposits and withdrawals. Unlike overseas platforms that may require international bank transfers or unfamiliar payment methods, hijau88 fully supports the local payment options Malaysians already use every day.
Deposit using Touch 'n Go eWallet or DuitNow completes in under 30 seconds – fast and hassle-free without leaving the app. You can also use GrabPay, Boost, ShopeePay, or FPX online banking via Maybank2u or CIMB Clicks. All methods are available with no additional fees, and winnings withdrawals are processed just as quickly.
Hijau88 offers dedicated bonuses for esports players that are separate from regular casino bonuses. The welcome bonus for new members can be used across all esports markets, and a 5% weekly rebate on esports bets ensures you always get added value from every wager. During major tournaments like The International or M-Series, hijau88 typically runs special campaigns with boosted odds on selected matches.
The hijau88 VIP programme is also highly rewarding for active e-sports bettors. The more you bet, the higher your VIP tier – and the greater the rewards, from higher daily rebates to exclusive access to special odds and promotions unavailable to regular members.
All things considered, hijau88 is the top choice for Malaysian esports fans looking to add a new dimension to their viewing experience and support their favourite teams. With extensive match coverage, diverse markets, competitive odds, and convenient local payment methods, there's no reason to look elsewhere.

Strategies to improve your chances in esports betting
Stats alone aren't enough in esports. Watch matches live to understand playstyles, team communication, and the psychological factors that never show up in the numbers.
A player transfer or a new game patch can completely shift a team's strength. A dominant team last month may be struggling this month after a major patch or the loss of a key player.
Some teams have a remarkably strong or poor record against certain opponents – regardless of their global standing. Head-to-head records are valuable information that is often overlooked.
Hijau88's live betting feature is especially useful for players watching a match. When you can see a team under heavy pressure, their odds are usually higher – that's where you find better value.
If you're not familiar with DOTA 2, don't dive straight into complex markets. Start with straightforward match winners, learn the game first, then gradually move on to more specific markets.
Set a dedicated budget for esports betting and stick to it, even when your confidence is high. hijau88 provides betting limit tools that you can configure yourself in your account settings.
